Razvan Nica, managing director of BuildGreen, was awarded by BUSINESS Magazin as one of the top 10 young managers in Romania.
”I started to work in the field of building sustainability somewhat in a favourable situation” – says Răzvan Nica, the entrepreneur who founded eight years ago BuildGreen. The company, which has ten employees, is now the leader of the local consulting market in the field of design, development and certification of sustainable buildings in Romania.
About his career path, the entrepreneur says that he worked for four years at Tebodin Consulting and Engineering, with responsibilities in the financial management of projects, an activity quite close to his economic and financial preparation.
In 2007, he started as the project manager at Cascade Group, where he was responsible for coordinating the process of implementing the sustainability and support requirements in BREEAM certification, a totally atypical and unique activity in Romania at that time. “In 2010, we made the decision to start on our own, creating BuildGreen, the only Romanian company with exclusive activity in the field of building sustainability.”
