Decarbonization strategy

Decarbonization is the process of reducing or eliminating greenhouse gas emissions in order to mitigate the effects of climate change. There are a variety of strategies that can be used to decarbonize the built environment, including: energy efficiency, renewable energy, net zero energy, low-carbon materials, sustainable transportation, carbon capture and storage, and green roofs and walls. Overall, decarbonization strategies aim to decrease the built environment's carbon footprint and reduce the impact of climate change.
