Decarbonization Strategy

Decarbonization is the process of reducing or eliminating greenhouse gas emissions in order to mitigate the effects of climate change. There are a variety of strategies that can be used to decarbonize the built environment, including: energy efficiency, renewable energy, net zero energy, low-carbon materials, sustainable transportation, carbon capture and storage, green roofs and walls. Overall, decarbonization strategies aim to decrease the built environment's carbon footprint and reduce the impact of climate change.
